She has more than 28 years of experience working in human rights organizations at the national, regional, and international levels, including Human Rights Working Group, Oxfam International, Forum-Asia, Child Workers in Asia, the Solidarity Centre and the National Commission on Child Protection. She was the Team Leader of the Regional EU-ASEAN Dialogue Instrument on Human Rights Facility (2015 – 2017) to support the human rights work of human rights institutions in ASEAN. Her influential piece of writing often appears in The Jakarta Post, Bangkok Post, The Nation, and Talking ASEAN and in academic journals. In March 2021, she was appointed as International Democracy Goodwill Ambassador from 1 May 2021 to 31 December 2022 by The Korea Democracy Foundation, Republic of Korea.
