Riri Khariroh has over 15 years working in the field of gender equality, womens’ empowerment, human rights and democracy, with a professional focus on Islamic feminism and religious extremism. She completed a Master Degree from the Center of International Studies Ohio University USA, and served as Commissioner of Komnas Perempuan for the period of 2015-2019, where she worked a lot on the advocacy for gender and religious freedom. She is currently teaching in the University of Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia (UNUSIA) Jakarta.
